The Regional Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is committed to developing businesses in Southern California by showcasing the strength and vitality of the Southern California business community.  On behalf of the board of directors of the Chamber; I want to thank you for giving me the opportunity to introduce you to the many opportunities available by becoming a member of our organization.

Your Chamber has set in motion a new vision for the next century. Our Strategic Plan, encompassed in “Beyond the Horizon…Vision 2010”, encompasses  primary operating divisions and specific points of progress for local small, minority and women owned businesses in Southern California.

 

The Small Business Development Center and the Center for International Trade, and our Member Services Departments act as the primary filters by which all activity is implemented and measured.

The  points of progress include:

Access to Capital to start, grow and expand business.

Technological Sophistication for global competitiveness through E-Procurement and Contracting Opportunities.

Workforce Preparedness in developing employees with a solid work ethic.

Advocacy at the local, state and national level on key issues that effect small, minority and women owned businesses.

Membership Cultivation to develop new businesses, new leaders and innovative approaches for local enterprises.

Entrepreneurial Development for long term expansion and retention of local small businesses.

Sustainability of the Vision and Values of the Chamber through our Capital  Campaign.

Healthcare Strategies for businesses.

The growth and success of your Chamber is made possible by the dedicated and committed support of existing members, in addition to the creation of new ones.

Sandy Cajas

President & CEO Sandy Cajas  is the President and CEO of the  Regional Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a non profit 501 c 6 organization with a mission to Promote Economic Development in the South Bay Region and to provide fair and equitable Access to Capital  and support Education and Cultural  programs  for the Southern California Region. Mrs. Cajas  brings over fifteen years of experience in the areas of Economic Development, Marketing and Advertising.

 

The Chamber provides business networking opportunities, business referrals and facilitates business partnerships throughout the Southern California Region.  The Chamber provides programs and services for small businesses in the areas of micro-lending and being certified by the Small Business Administration as an intermediary loan processor.  The RHCC trains the business community in Accessing Capital, Advocacy and Procurement, which has been a priority for the RHCC for the past four years.  The Regional Hispanic Chamber of Commerce hosts the best attended procurement fair in the region named “Success Through Diversity”, in which the RHCC focuses in offering opportunities to do business with government agencies.

 

Ms. Cajas is also a small business owner of a marketing and advertising agency “Diversity Marketing Group” which markets multi-ethnic events and fundraises for ethnic communities.  Diversity Marketing Group is committed to promoting products and services to all cultures in the Southern California Area.

 

Sandy has served in various boards such the South Ridge Neighborhood Community Board, The Inland Empire Community Advisory Board spearheaded by KB Home, The Mentoring program at California State University Long Beach and the EMPLEO project a board comprising of all Central American Consulates  and the Mexican Consulate, EMPLEO focuses an disseminating information to the Central American and Mexican Immigrant community on labor, wage and discrimination rights.

 

Sandy Cajas graduated from Chaffey Community College in Rancho Cucamonga, California and served as program director for the Fashion and Merchandising Department, she continued training at Cal Poly in Apparel Manufacturing and continued studies in the International Trade arena at Long Beach City College.

 

Sandy left Guatemala at the age of 13 to reside in Long Beach, California.

 

Sandy has two children Ariana 30 and Arthur 22 and grandmother of Jocelyn Linares Cajas
